Yoga

Description: Yoga and other forms have many meanings.  For us it is  “The Joy of Movement and Being “ - The art of being totally present with your body and movement to bring more joy to you and your being.  Through Yoga we have integrated and developed a mindful movement practice that will allow an individual to have a deeper understanding of their body and soul. 

Along with individual sessions, workshops are also taught for groups of two or more supporting each other through yoga, acrobatic movements and basic techniques of the Thai Yoga massage.

Types of Yoga Classes:

Detox & Destess (60-120mins)
Normally a very high level of energy is held in this class.  Consisting of deep twists, compressive and decompressive poses to aid in the assistance of wringing toxins from your body.  Taught as 2 hour workshop to really get the body moving, sweating, and letting go of what does not serve you or your body.  Stress is a type of toxin we create in our lives and din our bodies.  Imagine sweating, twisting and breathing and allowing yourself to be rid of your stress.

High Energy (Eishens) (60-120mins)
A newer practice. Highly effective by using props for feedback and partner assistance to aid in getting and staying in the pose for a period of time.  These are not passive poses, but stronger active poses to ignite the inner warrior within you. 

Based off of the BKS Iyengar practice, where there is a strong focus on alignment and keeping your alignment with the support of props and high energy.  

Partner Yoga (60-120mins)
Yoga with a partner to increase the stretch and poses.  This practice is great way to build a connection to others in the world through touch and movement.  The practice with a partner or a small group may vary involving more therapeutics instead of building strength and power.  The class is usually infused with basics of thai massage, partner flying, acrobatics, and yoga.  

Therapeutic / Yin (60-120mins)
A class designed to tap into persons looking for a slowed down and focused practice with the use of props and support. Slowing and stilling the body is part of the overall process, even though if our bodies slow down the energy is constantly moving.  In this specific practice you will tap into the connective tissue of the body by holding more passive and supported poses.  Not only are you working the physical body you are also tapping into the mental mind of slowing the thoughts down to create more space for you.

Vinyasa (60-120mins)
The practice of breath -movement –synchronization. A flow style of yoga that is the most popluar style of practice throughout the world.  One breath per movement is suited best for the type of person who enjoys to move.  Infusing aspects of Kundalini Kriyas throughout the program invites different style of pranayama (breath work) to the students.   Always accompanied by music whether it be mantras, soul, R&B, hip-hop, or world music to get you out of your head and onto your mat with ease and energy.

 

Fitness

Description: Incorporating specific gyms fitness and skill training, Eishens/Resistance yoga and plant based nutrition.

Types of Fitness Classes:

Core Fit (45-60mins)
A blend of core fitness, yoga, and strength training,  Short cardio bursts get the hear going and you will also complete the class feeling your ab muscles respond. Catered to your level of fitness.

Natural Fitness / Get fit & Have Fun (45-60mins)
A blend of circuit training, tabatas, and bootcamp style workout with a focus on nutrition and yoga interspersed.   These classes will get you fit.  Putting an effort into all of the components will allow your body to shift, change and create a sense of ease .  With the use of available equipment: skipping ropes, power wheels, battling ropes, fitness balls, bosu balls, pull up bars, and of course your body, you will see a difference and have fun while doing it.  Accompanied with upbeat and uplifting music.  

Talk to Your Body (Nutrition) (60mins +)
A class based around listening and perceiving what your body desires in the form of energy, food and exercise.  Short exercise and movement to tap into what you body enjoys as well as discussion on how we communicate with ourselves.

Turbo Kick (45-60mins)
Fun upbeat program, mixing kickboxing moves with dance choreography, allowing you to smile and reducing tension.  Dependent on facilities and equipment, the program can be set up with just you (and your body) or accompanied with boxing gloves and punching bag.  Kick into high gear with fierce kicks, punches and allowing yourself to work to your rhythm and beat.

 

Thai Massage

(60-90mins)
Description: The main emphasis in the practice of Thai Yoga Massage is to focus on health prevention (as all disease manifests first on the energy level and can be treated there before it becomes physical). It can also be of great therapeutic benefit for a range of specific problems and conditions, such as headaches, back pain, digestive disorders, shoulder and neck tension, joint pain, menstruation problems, insomnia and other stress related conditions.

This massage is provided on a mat on the floor, and is facilitated with hands, feet and by putting you into various different stretches, twists and poses and using her body weight to work with the pressure comfortable to you.

 

The BARS  "Access Consciousness"

Description: Do you remember the last moment in your life when you were totally relaxed and nurtured and cared for? Or has it been a little too long since you received healing and kindness without any judgment for your body or your being?

Did you know there are 32 points on your head which, when gently touched, effortlessly and easily release anything that doesn't allow you to receive?  These points contain all the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, emotions, and considerations you have stored in any lifetime. This is an opportunity for you to let go of everything!   Receiving or learning The Bars will allow this and so much more to show up for you!  The Bars has assisted thousands of people change many aspects of their body and their life including sleep, health and weight, money, sex and relationships, anxiety, stress and so much more!  If you could change anything in your life, What would it be?  Would you be willing to choose something different and have the life you love and desire?  These are just a few of the many, many questions and tools that we work with to allow you into a greater YOU.

The BARS programs:

  • Learn to run the bars in an 8 hour course. 

The Bars and Energy Processing (60–90mins)
A one-on-one session to assist in the process of facilitating change and letting go of the points of views which have been have brought in as one’s own.  Allowing one to receive more, creating more space to involved in the world they wish to be in.  

 

Reiki

(60mins)
Description: Reiki and Reiki II are for people who require and wish for the energy infusion.  This is done as a one-on-one session where we clear and open the chakras (wheels of energy in the body), with the use of Reiki energy healing.  Hands are placed on each of your charkas to remove any blocks that may be creating, pain, discomfort or even possibly some disease in the body. 

 

Dance Fitness & Movement

Types of Dance Fitness & Movement Programs:

African (60mins)
Combining traditional West African dances with urban azonto styles.  We mix the choreography and fitness moments, which will allow you to you to feel your body and muscles.  Accompanied with azonto style music and tradtitional African beats will leave you shaking and moving through the class and possibly even after it’s finished.

Caribbean (60mins)
This class is based on the latest soca and Caribbean styles of music.  Upbeat tempos teach you how to move that waist, hips, derriere, arms, legs and head.  A blend of soca, dancehall, and reggae moves to start to make you feel ready for a Caribbean carnival party.

Dance Fitness and Movement (60mins)
Involving Soca Motion which is “move your Mas”, carnival/ soca dance/ fitness class.  We infuse this style into the movement and dance classes.  Azonto Dance Fitness, which originates from Ghana, is an urban African dance form performed to Azonto dance music.  Incorporating African, dancehall and hip hop moves this class gets you moving, laughing and having a good time all the while getting you more fit.  These classes can be catered to both children and / or adults.

Hip Hop (60mins)
Includes the beginning stages of breakdance uprock moves along with short choreophed pieces of hip hop. Full body warm up and cool down.  Whether it be a mix of vogueing, popping, or breaking you will find your self getting down to the beats of enjoyable hip hop. 

 

Yoga on Horses

(60 mins)
Description: Breath, move and be with a horse in a way that you may have never experienced before.  Imagine simply being with a horse, stretching, gifting them a gentle massage through the stretches and poses.  This is an opportunity to connect to a horse in a different way.  The yoga will be taught first off the horse then will be done on bareback horses.  We facilitate you through the breathing and alignment to allow you to feel this connection of peace and tranquility with the horse and yourself.  

 

Paddleboard Yoga

(60 mins)
Types of Paddle Board Yoga & Fitness Programs:

Bootcamp Paddleboard Fitness
A super fun and wet, and high energy class.  We begin with a paddle to get your body used to being on the board to find your balance and strength.  The board can be tied up or anchored down.  Blending core strengthening, fitness moves, and water splashes.

Paddleboard Yoga
This is the practice of yoga on a stand-up paddleboard.  This will bring a different sense of balance into your yoga and perhaps a bit more fun and play as well.  The paddleboards are in water and are either tied up to buoys or anchored down with a weight for a class type set up.  Finding your balance and inner calm is heightened.
